Editing
This week we have been focusing on editing our Small Moment Personal Narratives.  Students have been checking and double checking that they have used capitals and lowercases in appropriate places.  We practiced this phase of editing with our Morning Messages.
                                              
Laurel Creekians found ALL 23 boo-boos and celebrated this accomplishment with a victory dance.

First Graders work on Story Problems
There were 15 amazing Laurel Creekians.  Each amazing Laurel Creekian wrote 2 story problem (one subtraction, one addition).  How many story problems did they write in all?
To solve: 1.Quick sketch  2.Label (double check) sketch 3.Write number sentence 4.Circle Answer




 Morning Math Jobs
 Mackenzie writes the date in 2 ways, for the class to refer to all day
 Ethan keeps track of the Days of School by recording the number, the amount of tens and ones and by coming up with a corresponding number sentence.
Students use our attendance information to make number family number sentences.
